Leaflet distribution can be a great cost effective method for generating leads and brand recognition in London and your local area around your business.
The prices of flyers are generally quoted on per thousand basis with a minimum amount usually being around 5000 flyers.
This happens to be the ‘minimum effective dose’ in leaflet promotion as well as the lowest number at which the whole distribution machine starts turning efficiently.
Deliveries under 5000 leaflets are possible but price of leaflet distribution at these numbers will have to be negotiated on individual basis depending on the details of each leaflet drop.
So what are the elements in determining how much does leaflet distribution cost.
What affects how much does leaflet distribution cost? In the context of Door to door deliveries.
1. Size of the leaflets
This includes both the format of the leaflet (A6, A5, A4, DL) and the thickness of the paper it has been printed on (Most commonly described in gsm).
Larger, heavier leaflets or flyers that include some kind of fold or multiple pages will be more expensive than a single A5 leaflet. Each price of leaflet distribution below are listed for a 200gsm A5 flyer.
2. Solo or shared delivery
Both of these are legitimate techniques for door to door leaflet distribution. You can find out more about these two delivery methods here. We run three types of deliveries with different prices each.
Solo distribution comes at £85/1000 +VAT
Shared distribution +1 at £48/1000 +VAT
(Your leaflet is delivered together with one other flyer from a non-competing client)
Shared distribution +2 at £48/1000 +VAT
(Your leaflet is delivered together with two other flyers from a non-competing clients)
3. Quantity of leaflets
We operate on a standardised pricing structure on amounts ranging from 5000-75,000 flyers. We are able to negotiate lower prices on drops over 75,000 flyers.
Price of leaflet distribution of Hand to hand
Hand to hand distribution is a fairly specific service we recommend only occasionally.
It makes sense only when door to door distribution is not an option.
A good example of this would be a campaign that is trying to target office workers in EC4. Having a team of distributors handing out flyers in a strategic position at certain times of day can be very effective.
On the other hand this strategy would not be something we would recommend doing in NW3. Door to door would be considerably more effective in this area.
With that said, the prices of hand to hand distribution are defined by the price per 4-hour shift of handing out leaflets. One distributor handing out flyers for 4 hours will cost £100+VAT and can be expected to hand out approximately 500 leaflets.
Other costs of leaflet distribution
We have only spoken about the direct costs of door to door and hand to hand leaflet distribution in this article so far. There at least two more elements to keep in mind.
